National Institute of Design (NID) is acknowledged internationally as one of the finest educational and research institutions for Design Industry. Where candidates can get admissions and can become ideal designer in Industrial design, Communication design, Textile and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design.
(NID : Film and Video Communication, Animation Design, Exhibition Design, Graphic Design,
Industrial Design :  Ceramic and Glass Design Furniture and Interior Design, Product design
TEXTILE, APPAREL, LIFESTYLE & ACCESSORY DESIGN)
 
List of cities where NID (National Institute of Design) colleges ( for B.Des) are situated and courses available there:

          Now we are going to talk about the preparation for NID Entrance

         1st Step of the NID’s preparation is to know about  the syllabus or exam pattern ( DAT)

You will attend two exams for NID a

 1st : Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims - 100 Marks : 3 Hr

Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims will be conducted at various test centres across India. Candidates should note that appearing for the DAT Prelims or being shortlisted for the second stage of the admission process does NOT guarantee automatic entitlement to admission.

 

 2nd : Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Mains : 100 Marks

This is also called Studio test and Intrapersonal test. Candidates shortlisted after the DAT Prelims will be invited to appear for the Stage 2 DAT Mains. Exact details of the Test Centre will be mentioned in the DAT Mains Admit Card.

 

About Question Paper of NID ( DAT- Prelims ) 

Following elements are overview and types of some qualities that is must in a candidate who want to crack the DAT NID 2022

          4. Sketching and Imagination

About Question Paper of NID ( DAT- Mains )

         It is studio test, may includes : 

1. 3D Modeling for ideas, imagination and creative ability of candidates.

2. Animation ideas and knowledge with practical ability

3. Mock test and group Discussion

4. Preventative ability 

           Aspirants required to clear the NID DAT prelims exam to appear in the mains exam. NID DAT mains exam is usually conducted on an offline basis. However, for the last two years, the DAT mains exam has been conducted in online mode due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Depending on the prevailing situation, NID will announce the examination mode of the DAT mains exam.
